For over 15 years, we’ve been building and renovating homes in Prince George with one clear purpose: to deliver quality that is truly Built for Life. What started as a small construction company run out of a spare room, we have grown into a vertically integrated group of businesses that now includes custom home building, major renovations, kitchen and bath design, flooring and tile retail, countertops, and more.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Finishing Carpenter at BDH, you’ll be responsible for the fine details that clients see and remember. From doors and trim to cabinetry and countertops, you’ll ensure every project meets our high standards of quality. You’ll work on both new construction and renovations, sometimes leading small finishing projects independently, while also supporting our production team across multiple scopes.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Install and finish trim, casings, baseboards, crown, and doors
- Complete flooring installations (hardwood, laminate, vinyl; tile is an asset)
- Build and install custom millwork, built-ins, and handrails
- Install cabinetry and countertops for kitchens, bathrooms, and built-ins
- Handle fireplace finishing and other custom details that showcase craftsmanship
- Lead and complete small finishing projects independently
- Assist with framing or other scopes as needed to keep projects on track
- Work on both new construction and renovation projects
- Maintain clean, safe, and client-ready job sites
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5 years of finishing carpentry experience (trim, doors, flooring, cabinetry, countertops, millwork)
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality craftsmanship with attention to detail
- Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings
- Ability to work independently and lead small crews when required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Red Seal Carpenter certification is an asset but not required
