 Job Title: Videographer (Temporary Position)

Location: Prince George, BC

Reports To: CEO

Job Type: Part-Time, Temporary 

Hours:Approximately 16-20 hours per week for about 12 weeks

Compensation: $30/hr

About Us: 

Belledune Homes & Construction Ltd is a family owned and operated residential construction company specializing in custom homes and renovations in Prince George.  New Look Interiors is all about kitchens, baths, tile and flooring.  We are currently seeking a motivated and creative individual to join our team on a temporary basis as a Videographer.  

Job Summary: 

We are looking for a talented Videographer to produce marketing videos for our social media and website platforms, set up a video recording area in our office, and train our management and staff on video production techniques and editing. This temporary position is an excellent opportunity for a young professional to gain experience and make a significant impact in a short period. The funding for this project is through the Canadian Digital Adoption Program (CDAP). The program is available to youth aged 18-30 who are permanent residents of Canada and employees of our organization. The project will need to be completed by early September 2024, 16-24 hours a week in the office, in the field on jobsites, and remote. There is a possibility of ongoing occasional work after the initial project is completed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Video Production and Editing:
  • Produce engaging evergreen marketing videos tailored for various       social media platforms and websites.
  • Edit videos to ensure high quality, consistency, and adherence to       brand guidelines.
  • Utilize video editing software to enhance video quality, add       effects, and create final cuts.
• Studio Setup:
  • Plan and set up a functional video recording area in the office.
  • Select and install appropriate equipment, including cameras,       lighting, and sound equipment.
  • Ensure the studio is user-friendly, adaptable, and accessible for       ongoing use.
• Training and Instruction:
  • Train management and staff on video production setup and       techniques.
  • Provide hands-on demonstrations and guidance on using video       equipment and software.
  • Create comprehensive instructional materials, including guides and       tutorials, to support ongoing video production efforts.

Qualifications:

• Age 18-30, as per funding requirements of the Canada Digital Adoption Program (CDAP).
• Proven training and experience in video production and editing.
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro,      Final Cut Pro, or similar.
• Advanced expertise of video recording equipment and studio setup.
• Strong creative and technical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or refugees allowed to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Post secondary education in video production
• Experience producing marketing content for social media and website platforms.
• Previous experience setting up video recording studios.
• Experience training others in video production and editing techniques.
