WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Create 2D and 3D drawings, electrical layouts, interior details, and millwork designs using Chief Architect (or similar design software such as AutoCAD or Revit).
- Support estimators by preparing material takeoffs and gathering product costing from suppliers.
- Work with clients and design team members to select products that fit both design and budget.
- Document selections, coordinate material orders, and help keep project schedules organized.
- Communicate with clients throughout pre-construction, ensuring selections and details are clearly documented and approved.
- Create comprehensive jobsite packages for the project delivery team.
- Collaborate with the production and admin teams to ensure everyone fully understands the project scope and design before construction begins.
- Provide occasional sales floor support to assist customers and ensure a smooth experience.
- Keep projects moving seamlessly from design to field-ready handoff.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Diploma/degree in Architectural Technology, Interior Design, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in residential design and construction administration.
- Experience with Chief Architect is ideal, but strong skills in other design software (AutoCAD or Revit) are highly transferable.
- Skilled in organizing details, juggling priorities, and keeping projects on track.
- Comfortable working directly with clients, trades, and suppliers.
